HIGH POINT, NC -- Rug vendors are coming to High Point with a healthy attitude despite the sick economy. Looking at the current state of the home furnishings business, they are not expecting too much in terms of attendance, but serious buyers will be there, they predict.
HIGH POINT, NC – When the economy goes south, vendors commonly respond by cutting back on showroom costs. But a few rug vendors are actually opening second showrooms to help capture more traffic in High Point.
QINGHAI INTERNATIONAL CARPET EXHIBITION SET FOR MAY 16 to 21
QINGHAI, CHINA – The Qinghai International Carpet Exhibition has been scheduled for May 16 to 21, 2008 at the Qinghai International Carpet Exhibition Center. It will showcase flooring products from China, India, Pakistan, Iran, Nepal and Afghanistan.
High Point Market Business Report: NO TRAFFIC JAMS AT HIGH POINT MARKET, BUT SOME BUSINESS WAS WRITTEN

HIGH POINT, NC – Rug exhibitors did not have high expectations for the High Point Market, so no one was too disappointed with the extremely light turnout. It seems that the traffic jams that used to mark this semi-annual furniture show are things of the past.
SHANGHAI, CHINA – Domotexasia/Chinafloor, which took place March 11 to 13 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, attracted approximately 11% more attendees than in 2007, according to show organizers. Approximately 39,509 visitors attended this year's event, including 5,660 from outside the host nation.

HIGH POINT, NC -- Brian Casey, president of the High Point Market Authority has made a video presentation on attendance at the recent Spring High Point Furniture Market.
