It seems like many rug vendors are chasing the furniture store retail channel. But there's nothing new about rugs in furniture stores. In fact, prior to World War II, the majority of all rugs were sold by furniture stores. Virtually every store that sold furniture also carried rugs.

HIGH POINT, NC- The rug industry is still optimistic about the future of the furniture store channel, despite an extremely slow Spring High Point market and continuing challenges in the economy. The traffic, in fact, was plain awful.
