has reacted swiftly in response to the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that
hit Nepal on April 25. In response to readers' requests, RugNews.com has

MIAMI - When
Maison & Objet Americas makes its official debut this week, a handful of
American-based rug companies will be among an elite group of 300 hand-picked
home furnishings and interior design exhibitors from 24 countries. The inaugural
show will run May 12 to 15 at the Convention Center in Miami while the original
show in Paris celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2015.

annual ICFF Editor's Choice Award winners have been announced in 11 categories,
and the winner in the carpet and flooring category (which includes area rugs) is
five-year-old California-based boutique rug maker Lindstrom Rugs. "The show has
been amazing for us. And even more so to be recognized with this award," said
owner Eric Lindstrom who designed the Ink Blot rug and others at ICFF.

the annual Dwell on Design LA event held May 29 to 31, 2105 at the Los Angeles
Convention Center, two exhibitors showed area rugs amid a preponderance of
upscale building supply companies offering everything from custom windows and
doors to LED lighting and hard surface wood, tile and natural stone floor
coverings. Over 32,000 designers, architects and consumers were expected to
attend the three-day event.
