    CHARLESTON, SC – America's Research Group is painting a gloomy picture for the nation's retailers this season. In fact, holiday retail sales are predicted to be down 1% in 2008, compared to 2007. This is the first time in 23 years of forecasting that ARG has predicted a year-to-year drop for the season.
