Atlanta Market Business Report: SLUGGISH ECONOMY NOT ENOUGH TO DIM HOPES OF RUG VENDORS

ATLANTA - The sluggish state of home furnishings retailing was not enough to dim the hopes of vendors going into this week's International Rug Market. The semi-annual event runs July 15 to 18 at AmericasMart Atlanta.

ATLANTA -- The Georgia Aquarium was the scene of the annual Retailer of the Year Awards on Monday, July 16. This year's ROY winners came from all sections of the country and included floor covering stores, rug specialists and furniture stores. All were exemplars of retail excellence in terms of integrity, creativity and community service.
