DALTON, Ga. -- Industry veteran Chris Papa has been named sales manager of national accounts for United Weavers of America, according to an announcement by Wasim Abu Hadba, president.
In this newly created position, Papa will head sales for national accounts, and will report directly to Joe Barkley, vice president of sales. He will be based in Minneapolis.
Papa, an economics graduate from Rutgers University, is a home fashions expert with over 30 years of experience as a buyer and sales executive, most recently serving as vice president of sales at Carpet Art Deco. Prior to that, he was the vice president of Midwest sales at Mohawk Industries. Additionally, Papa was an award-winning and often recognized successful buyer at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Target, and JC Penney.
"Chris' extensive experience, particularly with national accounts, will be a tremendous asset for United Weavers," said Joe Barkley. "He is an excellent complement to our team."
