2011 HD EXPO ATTRACTED
OVER 7,000 ATTENDEES
LAS VEGAS – The 2011 Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (The HD Expo), which ran May 18 to 20 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas drew more than 7,000 attendees, according to market officials.
Presented by Hospitality Design magazine and produced by the Hospitality Design Group, the show showcased in more than 260,000 sq. ft. of show space.
Nearly 900 manufacturers had their products and new solutions on display, including accessories, artwork, bedding, electronics, furniture and case goods, flooring, lighting, plumbing and bath fixtures, textiles, wall coverings, and window treatments.
Approximately 40 floor covering exhibitors took part, including Brintons, Couristan Inc., Durkan, Kravetcontract, Masland Contract, MAT the Basics, Milliken Hospitality, Nourison, OW Hospitality, Shaw Hospitality Group, Stanton Carpet Corp., Stark Carpet, Tamarian Carpets and The Natural Carpet Co.
In addition to the Expo, attendees participated in site visits and conference sessions throughout the day.
Led by industry experts, the courses discussed the most pertinent issues in the hospitality design field and offered opportunities to collaborate with peers.
Site visits included Rumor Vegas and Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Attendees had the opportunity to check out this two-story boutique property, which has as its centerpiece a 30,000 sq. ft. courtyard/backyard with room for 2,400 guests, complete with pools, stage, wet deck, cabanas, daybeds, hammocks, and stately palm trees.
