STANTON ANNOUNCES THREE KEY CHANGES IN SALES LEADERSHIP
SYOSSET, NY -- Stanton Carpet Corporation, a leading manufacturer and importer of decorative, high quality self-branded carpet and custom rugs, announces three key changes in its sales leadership.
"We continue to strengthen and expand our sales leadership with these new and important roles setting the stage for our next phases of growth," said Jonathan Cohen, Stanton's CEO and President, in making the announcements. The posts are effective immediately and will transition through the end of 2017.
George Forte, Executive Development Director, Stanton Carpet
As part of an overall strategic sales plan that balances company and personal goals, George Forte will transition from VP of Sales to the newly created role of Executive Development Director. In this role, Forte will be responsible for all new sales training, follow up training, key accounts, recruiting and special projects among other responsibilities.
Forte started with Stanton as a Regional Manager in 1998 and was promoted to VP of Sales in 2003. In this post for 14 years, his expertise helped lead the company to significant growth. "George has exceeded all expectations," Cohen said. "We are grateful for his invaluable leadership and selfless dedication to Stanton as VP of Sales. His new role will be pivotal in helping us achieve future goals."
Forte added, "I'm looking forward to this transition and continuing to build on Stanton's success as the leading decorative broadloom supplier."
Mitch White, Vice President of Sales, Stanton Carpet
Mitch White has been promoted to VP of Sales, succeeding George Forte. White will be responsible for all sales managers and all sales, including Stanton, Antrim, Rosecore and Crescent throughout the US & Canada. White will spearhead all major sales initiatives while managing Stanton's big picture sales growth.
White joined Stanton eleven years ago as Northeast Regional Sales Manager, and later became Eastern Regional Vice President. "Mitch's proven success, strong work ethic, managerial skills and sales talents made him a natural choice to assume our sales leadership. We are honored to promote from within," Cohen said.
"We have a great company with talented people throughout. I am proud to assume this new role and help Stanton achieve its next phase of growth," White said.
Kevin Blaine, Northeast Regional Vice President, Stanton Carpet
Kevin Blaine joins the company as Northeast Regional Vice President for Stanton and Antrim, succeeding Mitch White, with responsibility for twelve salespeople and the goal of increasing Stanton's Northeast business. Kevin is a seasoned veteran in decorative carpet and rugs for 30-plus years. He joins Stanton from his post as Northeast Regional Sales Manager for Kaleen. Kevin has been a top performer in selling and marketing machine woven and tufted broadloom as well as hand-loomed broadloom and rugs.
"Kevin's product experience, sales and management abilities tie in perfectly with our culture and future vision. We are confident Kevin will excel in this new role and are thrilled he's part of our team," Cohen said. Blaine added, "I'm excited to be part of this progressive company. I look forward to adding to Stanton's long term sales growth."
