HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- Kalaty Rug Corporation is confident its latest 2018 winter introductions -- which grow its best-selling lines and add a slate of new collections under the K2 label --  will contribute to another stellar year.

The company adds to six of its best-selling hand-knotted collections with new designs. In addition, in Atlanta and Vegas, shoppers will get to browse a series of rug collections debuting under the just-announced K2 label.

Featuring a more popular price point, K2 represents a Kalaty first while still reinforcing the company's high quality and handcrafted values. Kalaty during 2017 began to expand its style and price point varieties, with new collections added to both high-end and entry-level price options.

"We've had a record 2017, and I can already see sales growing even more in 2018," said Ariel Kalaty, principal. "The breadth and high quality of our new product introductions across all style categories were chief business drivers last year, and we expect the quality of our new product introductions to continue to drive sales again during 2018."

The K2 Seville collection by Kalaty debuts at winter markets, is hand-tufted of Silkette yarn.
Among Kalaty's winter introductions are heirloom-quality rugs in a variety of constructions, textures and patterns ranging from modern takes on traditional motifs to borderless transitional styles to abstract designs featuring hand-carving and/or unique textural effects.
"It's always important for us to interact with dealers and designers who attend these markets. It's their responses to our products that help guide us with regard to color trends and future product direction. We look forward to introducing new designs in a range of high-end artisanal handcrafted styles, constructions and weaves at markets at the beginning of each year," said Kamran Kalaty.
New designs being added to existing high-end, hand-knotted collections:
Three new designs will be added to the Juno collection, hand-knotted of 100% Silkette in a Tibetan knot weave. The line features colorful abstract designs; some with hand carving for high-low textural effects.
