Area rug exhibitors run with best-selling collections and introduce innovative trend-forward rugs to woo big box and mass merchant buyers shopping New York Market Week.

NEW YORK -- Area rug exhibitors presenting their latest assortments tailored to big box, mass merchant and online buyers at New York Home Fashions Market, March 17-20, lean into bestsellers while also rolling out fresh collections featuring innovative designs that offer plenty of value for the price.

New introductions span constructions and qualities with notable categories including high-quality machine-woven designs, machine-washable rugs, textured hand-tufteds, whimsical children's designs and hand-knotted rugs as well.

Dynamic Rugs showcases fashion and its higher quality rugs at the upcoming New York Home Fashions Market adding to two bestselling collections and debuting new ones as well. Lara collection, woven of made of polyester and viscose, launches in New York with traditional patterns in trending colors: sage green and soft, delicate purple hues on a beige ground. This lineup offers 1.5 million points construction. Olivia also rolls out and is woven of space-dye polyester fibers in nearly 750 thousand points. Olivia's construction lends the collection's abstract bordered designs a unique, multi-tonal space-dyed effect.

The all-wool hand-tufted Daisy collection of floral patterns add fresh looks and a new creel of ivory, browns, and soft blues and greens. Another favorite, the textured plush Mesa lineup of machine-woven rugs debuts new geometric looks. Mesa is woven of space-dyed polyester and shrink polyester.

Loloi showcases a range of collections new to New York shoppers that cater to what the company predicts to be top trends. "We see sustainability and eco-friendly trends continuing to gain importance, as well as bold, statement designs in bright colors," said Austin Craley, vice president of sales. "Warm, earthy tones are also gaining importance. Soft to the touch textures continue to draw customers as well, and Loloi is pleased to be increasing our commitments in all of those areas (and more) for the upcoming NY Market for both rugs and pillows."

The introductions for rug buyers offer an array of constructions. Prudence, a hand-tufted area rug is made of soft, space-dyed wool and cotton, which lends a subtle gradation of color throughout the floral design. The Sunday collection, also hand-tufted, offers a pinstripe pattern in multiple colorways. The power-loomed Winston collection features a cross-hatch design. Duncan is a handmade indoor/outdoor area rug that's interwoven with white threads for subtle contrast and finished with fringed edges. Finally, the Meryl collection is hand-knotted and reworks traditional Moroccan motifs at a much larger scale for a striking, modern feel.

Momeni, which will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year, is focusing on expanding its best-selling collections as well as debuting new ones in the price points that are performing for the company. Its big push for 2025 is its new kids line called Playground, which offers colorful whimsical designs. Each rug provides a themed environment as a foundation for play and the line features unique shapes, silly characters, and colorful gradients. Playground's high-quality rugs is made of soft pile fibers with a sturdy canvas backing to provide comfort. The collection is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified.

A new outdoor debut dubbed Icon from the popular Novogratz X Momeni will be on display. The Icon collection draws inspiration from iconic mid-century modern motifs and offers a vibrant color palette. Each flatweave rug is crafted from 100 percent durable polypropylene, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor spaces. Finally Momeni grows its best-selling collection, Orchard by Erin Gates, which introduces several Indian-block print and Ikat patterns hand-woven of jute and wool fibers.

Mohawk Home presents Oxford, a machine-woven collection with the look of hand-knotted rugs.

Mohawk Home returns for a second time to New York Home Fashions Market after a hiatus following the sale of the Textiles Building and the pandemic. The company presents several new area rug collections geared toward mass merchants, big box and e-commerce buyers, with two traditionally styled lineups among the anticipated favorites. The Oxford collection renders traditional motifs in trending neutral tones is cross-woven with self-fringe. Large bulk space-dyed polyester lends this collection a hand-knotted appearance.

The Elsie collection also offers classic looks recast in a contemporary warm soft neutral palette. This series is machine-woven of a polyester/olefin blend. These rugs have a textured background with shrink yarn to provide a handcrafted look.

Nourison Home expands its recently introduced Nordic collection with a fresh color palette and patterns, Shown, NRC06

Nourison rolls out plenty of fresh new area rugs in both new and existing collections -- and also grows its scatter program and decorative pillows lineup -- for New York Home Fashions Market. And the expansion of its recently introduced rug license program with DKNY into the scatter category at spring market is expected to generate excitement. DKNY rolls out three new accent rug collections, including Washable Jute, which brings the look of jute to a machine-washable construction.

In the area rug category, the Dekor collection, which includes a broad assortment of looks such as abstract and updated bordered designs. These machine-woven easy-care rugs offer serged edges and excellent value. Woven from a blend of durable polypropylene and polyester that’s easy to clean, these rugs have a slight sheen and are soft to the touch. Previewed in Las Vegas, the company's successful recently introduced Nordic collection of vintage Scandinavian-style area rugs adds fresh designs and a color creel which brings warm rust tones to the lineup. The collection offers a ribbed high-low texture and is crafted of 100 percent polyester in a low-profile construction that is easy to clean and ideal for busy households with pets and young kids.

Oriental Weavers presents Filmore, machine-woven of space-dyed polyester with a high density, low profile construction.

Among the featured introductions is Filmore, machine-woven of space-dyed polyester with a high density, low profile construction. The range of designs blend soft neutrals with bold jewel tones. The Jackson collection, also crafted of space-dyed polyester, features a cut and loop texture with a super soft hand. It includes tonal designs in a light neutral palette. Finally, OW rolls out the machine washable Sahana collection, made of microfiber polyester for a silky soft finish. These rugs have a low profile and non-skid backing.

Look for fashion-forward designs in Safavieh’s New York Market Week introductions at the company’s Chelsea showroom. New York Home Fashions Market shoppers will be able to review the Easton rug collection, which offers contemporary classic styles, made using soft, supple synthetic yarns in a raised texture, cut pile. Also rolling out is Marigold, which features traditional styles with an antique finish. These rugs are power-loomed using supple synthetic yarns for durability.

Surya's Livabliss brand continues to grow adding the new Garden District lineup which mimics the look of hand-knotted wool

Livabliss, a Surya Inc. brand, continues to expand its assortment and will present a diverse selection of products that bring style and value to the NY Home Fashions Market. Featured debuts are Astra, Garden District and Lavish and Garden District replicates the rich color and texture of hand-knotted wool rugs, but at a fraction of the cost. In addition Surya will emphasize its indoor/outdoor and washable categories at the upcoming market. Finally, scatters and mats grow there presence in the showroom for spring market.
