Housed in renovated historic industrial mill, 313 Space debuts its curated selection of exhibitors at the fall 2024 High Point Market.
HIGH POINT, N.C.-- Debuting at the fall edition of High Point Market, 313 Space is a new 155,000 square foot showroom building located at 313 S. Centennial St. with flowing design and offering a selection of luxury and sustainable indoor-outdoor furniture brands (including Dedon and Gloster Furniture), area rugs and textiles, lighting, home furnishings, art and more.
Conceived by Rudi Nijssen and Dominique Sente-Nijssen, the couple behind antiques market and lighting brand Schwung, 313 Space is housed in restored 20th century industrial mill and opens its doors from Oct. 23-30, 2024.
"We envision 313 Space as an antithesis to the typical market building," said Rudi Nijssen, co-founder of Schwung. "Our goal was to create an environment that not only showcases exceptional products, but also provides an inspiring experience for visitors."
313 Space includes amenities such as cafe and bar, illustrated in this rendering of the facility.

Renowned Spanish high-end area rug label Nanimarquina debuts in stand #203. The company will showcase the Wellbeing collection by designer Ilse Crawford, founder of Studioilse, which includes a range of hand-spun textiles and area rugs, crafted with natural, sustainable and local fibers, without bleach and without dyes. The collection's Wool Chobi rug is hand-knotted of hand-spun Afghan wool in a Persian knot with a soft and plush comforting solid design. The assortment also includes hand-woven solid-color dhurries crafted of nettle and jute rugs, throws, cushions, tapestry and hammock.

Roberta Shilling debuts her contemporary Brazilian furniture and Brazilian-design-inspired area rugs at fall High Point.
The Miami-based distributor of contemporary Brazilian furniture and home furnishings, as well as fine Brazilian colonial antiques, Roberta Shilling debuts her eponymous studio's assortment at High Point Market. Shilling, a Brazilian native, offers an array of Brazilian-inspired rugs hand-crafted in India.
THE MILL

The Mills produces its area rugs and textiles in Namibia of local Swakara wool, following ethical practices and training and
employing members of the Nama and Ovambo tribes.
The Mill USA, sister company to The Mill Artisan in Namibia, both founded by a pair of sisters, transforms a 40 year old South African family textile history into a producer of ethically crafted textiles and area rugs. The Mills trains and employs members of the Nama and Ovambo tribes as skilled artisans in wool production in the heart of Swakara sheep country in southern Namibia. The Mills's commitment to sustainability extends beyond employment, providing daily meals, clean water, and even establishing a safe house for vulnerable women and children. The Mill rugs and blankets feature organic solid texture as well as understated geometrics all hand-woven of 100 percent Swakara wool.

Tulsi by Tara Hogan reworks the artists paintings for the floor in a collaboration with South African studio Graces Van
Hasselt. The rugs are woven of Angora mohair by Karoo female weavers.
313 Space introduces Tulsi by Tara Hogan to High Point audiences. Hogan, a New England artist and designer, showcases a range of luxurious handcrafted area rugs and tapestries inspired by her artistic paintings. These pieces are woven in partnership with Frances Van Hasselt, a South African based mohair textiles and rugs design and production studio based in Karoo. The Tulsi rugs are crafted entirely by hand of luxurious Angora goat raw mohair by women weavers working at the Karoo studio.
