Len Andolino has been named president of Couristan.

FORT LEE, N.J. -- Couristan, a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of fine area rugs, broadloom and custom carpets for the residential and hospitality markets, has announced the expansion of its leadership team with the hiring of Len Andolino as president. Andolino brings over three decades of sales, product development, strategic planning and merchandising initiative experience in the flooring covering industry.

As a multi-generational business that was established in 1926 and grounded on the foundation of quality and designer-driven styled products, Couristan, has begun the process of establishing a blueprint for its future as it approaches its 100th anniversary. This strategic hire will further the company’s ability to capitalize on opportunities within the rapidly changing floor covering marketplaces as the company continues to focus on the development and manufacturing of innovative products that are reflective of the Couristan brand while meeting demands from the market for quality area rugs and broadloom products.

“At Couristan, we’re focused on further strengthening our partnerships with our authorized dealers in terms of meaningful customer relations, product development and merchandising strategies and advancements in technologies that are designed to improve upon the selling and purchasing experiences of our extensive product line. Len brings extensive experience in leading and empowering product-led sales teams and driving exceptional customer service experiences that align with our company’s legacy and mission,” said George Couri, chairman of Couristan.

“I am excited to join the Couristan team in my new role, and to bring new strategies and initiatives to the forefront that will ensure the company’s future and surpass expectations that have already been put into place by established investments and strategies,” Andolino said.

“As the market has become more saturated than ever before, it is our legacy that allows our brand to make meaningful connections with our dealers and our consumer demographics. We will never lose sight of our legacy; however, we fully understand to accelerate growth, impact the sales of our dealers and inspire the consumer and interior designer segments of our business, we must continue to make meaningful product development and superior service connections that tell our “new direction” narratives for years to come.”

Andolino joins Couristan from The Dixie Group’s Decorative Division. Andolino states, “my intention after resigning from The Dixie Group was to start my own consulting practice, but the draw to re-join Couristan in this role was very inviting. There is no doubt that the Couristan team and its leadership have been very important to me over the years, it’s truly the honor of my life to lead this iconic company into the future.”

In recent years the company has made some key leadership investments including the appointment of Bob Tucci as executive vice president of broadloom. Tucci will now serve the company as EVP residential sales and will lead Couristan’s exploration and strategic development of new business opportunities within all account segments for the company’s residential broadloom and area rug product portfolios. Tucci will be reporting to Andolino.
