2022 High Point Market.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Part 2 of The Ultimate Guide to Rugs at High Point exclusively from RugNews.com continues our alphabetical listing of must-see rug showrooms at the semi-annual event to be held this year from October 22 to 26.

Traditional designs continue to be re-cast with distressed looks and textures, popular blue and gray, and black and white color stories get tweaked, and the greens and rusts that began to surface earlier this year now morph into an array of brilliant designs in styles from modern geometrics to abstracts.

Following is a glimpse of the exciting new product launches, line extensions and new showrooms that market attendees will find as they source the latest fashion in area rugs. Make sure not to miss Part 1, which kicks of the coverage.


LOLOI

Loloi rolls out its new Angela Rose collaboration with three rug collections, including the vintage-style printed Aubrey.

 Loloi is introducing its newest pillow and rug licensed partner, fearless DIYer, renovator Angela Rose, and their three inaugural rug collection: the vintage-style Aubrey (printed) and Blake collections, and the go-anywhere jute and cotton Colton collection. In addition, Loloi grows its collaboration alongside Chris Loves Julia adding three new area rug collections and six pillow designs. The Chris collection is a fresh take on classic stripe patterns and Francis offers diamond, grid, and other geometric motifs hooked in 100 percent wool. Both collections are GoodWeave certified, signifying ethical and socially responsible production practices.  Finally, Humphrey is a power-loomed CloudPile construction in 100 percent polyester and featuring stripes and plaids.

LR HOME

At LR Home, market shoppers will see the Cheshire collection, a 2-million-point range in abstracts and traditional designs. Shown, Cheshire 82127

LR Home is offering a full slate of events, promotions, and product introductions at their new High Point showroom in the Design Center at IHFC. The company is unveiling its first poufs with design partner Stacy Garcia Home (read more), and Garcia will be at the new LR showroom for a meet and greet brunch on Monday, Oct. 24. LR Home is also sponsoring a partner appreciation giveaway of a Mercedes EUV 300 that kicks off at market (learn more).

Among LR Home’s area rug collections debuting at market are Cheshire, Bergen and Kingston. Cheshire is a luxe, 2 million point machine woven collection. The stylish rugs are made from Luxcelle and acrylic yarns with a soft hand and slight shine, with two abstracts patterns, two vintage-look traditional florals and one traditional Persian design. The Bergan collection is loomed of felted wool in subtle designs and monochromatic colorways paying homage to Scandinavian styling. Inspired by desert and dunes, the new Kingston collection’s dhurrie flatweaves are hand woven with hand-carded raw wool into uneven threads, resulting in unique textures. Colors of these reversible rugs are grey, beige, and hint of blues.


The Kingston collection features reversible dhurries, adding to the growing stable of natural looks for which LR Home is known.

MOMENI

Momeni debuts its new collaboration with California's Pure Salt Interiors. Shown, CIS-01

The focus at the Momeni showroom will be the introduction of the company's latest licensing program with Newport Beach, California-based interior design studio Pure Salt Interiors, which reworks its signature clean, coastal, and naturally-inspired styling for the floor. The debuting Pure Salt series includes hand-knotted rugs with an aged vintage look  in the Menorca collection, super soft jutes in the Torquay collection, which is mix of jute and wool; and vintage kilim-inspired rugs in the Koukila collection, flat-woven of hemp.


Among the debut designs from Pure Salt X Momeni is the textured dot design Patara.

NATCO HOME

Natco presents the new domestically made Landscape collection of earth-toned plush patterns. Shown, LP-22

Two new collections are in the spotlight at Natco Home at market. The Landscape collection takes inspiration from natural surroundings like the sand and the sea with tonal, earthy colors with patterns ranging from detailed classic designs to more contemporary abstracts. It is made of an ultra-soft polyester pile that is a blend of 10 heat-set yarns and one shrink yarn. The Tranquil collection combines soft polyester and shrink yarns for a cozy construction executed in heathered and marled neutrals with pops of chambray blue. Both collections are made in the US.

NOURISON

Nourison grows its Twilight collection with a dramatic abstract pattern woven in wool and Luxcelle. Shown, TWI30

Among the fresh assortment at the Nourison showroom are two dramatic patterns. One hails from the successful Prismatic collection and features a new charcoal grey pattern with hand-carved gold swirls on ground of shades of gray and black. It’s handmade from New Zealand wool with silky Luxcelle accents that capture the light. In the Twilight collection, a new design adds a dramatic focal point with its sophisticated abstract pattern executed in shades of black, gray and ivory. It’s made of wool and silky Luxcelle, with a cut pile construction. 

Nourison also grows its lineup alongside HGTV Rehab Addict star Nicole Curtis and the Detroit-native will be in the Nourison showroom Sunday, October 23, from 3 p.m.-4 p.m. to introduce her latest rugs (read more).

Oriental Weavers adds new designs to its super-soft textural Reed collection. Shown, re04b

Oriental Weavers introduces High Point Market fall buyers to three new collections in a range of constructions including machine-washable and indoor-outdoor performance. The Reed collection is power-loomed of super-soft, space-dyed polypropylene/polyester and shrink polyester in a textural, multi-level construction. The designs range from soft modern to contemporary looks, as well as organic, abstract designs, with a palette that includes cool blues, earth tones, and crisp ivory. The debuting Sumter collection includes distressed-style traditional motifs that are machine-washable. Crafted of a soft polyester pile these rugs are made in China.

Finally, OW's recently introduced Ultimate Performance label of indoor-outdoor performance rugs add the Caicos collection. Made of 100 percent polypropylene, the simple patterns and active solids of the collection are offered in a warm gray coloration with plenty of texture and a soft hand.

Rizzy Home will greet market shoppers at its new showroom in the IHFC building in the Commerce wing for the fall 2022 High Point event. The company introduces four new synthetic hybrid collections, which are power-loomed using recycled PET fiber that feels just like wool and hand-finished. Rizzy will also showcase other new rug collections from machine-made to hand-knotted and will unveil the largest pillow launch in company history.

The Logan collection combines modern power-loom technology with age-old hand finishing techniques. These hybrid rugs are crafted from recycled polyester for an environmentally friendly twist and each piece is hand-washed to add softness and a rich patina. Additionally, rugs are then hand-sheared and hand-serged. The Anatolia hybrid rug collection is power-loomed in India using a uniquely soft recycled polyester, and then hand-washed, hand-finished and hand-serged.

Among the latest designs being featured by Rug & Kilim is this updated Persian design 24129 from Homage.
 
The Homage and Scandinavian collections from Rug & Kilim continue to grow and excite buyers, and some of the extensions to the line will be seen at market. In the Homage collection, more full-sized and gift-sized stock are added, while in the Scandinavian line, the company’s nubby and textural Nu construction will be featured. Nu is a fresh take on a flatweave style, with a boucle-like texture crafted of a hand-spun blend of eight or more yarns to create a plush, multicolor look and a lush texture.

Safavieh showcases its Crimson collection, power-loomed of soft synthetic yarns. Shown, CMS224N

Safavieh will offer newness across price-points and constructions at fall High Point Market. Among the featured collections is Crimson, which offers intricate motifs inspired by antique rug artistry in a warm, inviting color palette. Crimson area rugs are power-loomed using soft, synthetic yarns and finished with modest fringed ends. Also on show will be the hand-tufted all-wool Textural collection, which offers finely textured geometric patterns, etched into a solid colored, looped pile for a comfort-soft feel underfoot. Finally, plush and textural styles continue to trend at Safavieh and its new Hi-Lo Shag lineup ticks the appropriate boxes with its contemporary motifs and a plush hand in trending neutral palettes.

Samad introduces a new more affordable lineup of area rugs including the hand-knotted Scandinavia collection. Shown, Helsinki

Samad introduces a number of new rug collections in styles ranging from modern to transitional. Top new looks include the company's Scandinavia collection, which offers modern geometric designs in colors ranging from charcoal gray to pale blue. Samad's hand-knotted Bohemian collection offers a thick pile of natural undyed Australian wool paired with modern geometric designs inspired by 70s fashion. Finally, the Bengal and Moroccan collections feature dynamic patterns that can easily work as either the foundation or focal feature of a space. Additionally, Samad's one-of-a-kind Transitions and Cosmopolitan collections are hand-knotted with wool and high percentages of silk for a luxurious feel.

Surya's fall market debuts include 75 new area rug collections, plus growth in its furniture lineup, wall decor and lighting assortments. In the area rug category, styles include popular updated classic patterns, showcased in the hand-knotted Antalya collection of reworked Anatolian motifs made of wool with an even-pile Turkish-knot construction, and the hand-knotted Ghazni collection, which offers Persian and Turkish-inspired designs, made from soft high-sheen premium Ghazni wool. Buyers seeking more affordable options can shop the new Ishfahan series of machine-woven rugs made from viscose, polyester and acrylic.

Buyers with contemporary looks at the top of their shopping lists also have plenty of options including the new the hand-tufted Brook collection of modern geometric and linear designs and Castillo, a lineup of neutral mid-century modern geometrics, with skip-knot construction in wool.

TAMARIAN

The new hand-knotted Itterna featuring Tamarian's Phoenix Weave technique debuts at High Point.

Tamarian’s High Point releases feature a variety of qualities, colors, and origins, from Nepal, to India, to Afghanistan. Among the featured designs is Itterna in driftwood, hand-knotted of all wool in Nepal, a new programmed piece available in all the standards. Colorways range from neutrals to bolder palettes of fiery oranges and browns, with abstract patterns featuring contemporary geometrics and softer, more organic designs. Programmed in standard sizes up to 13x18, the rugs are also available in custom adaptations.

TRANS-OCEAN BY LIORA MANNE

Liora Manne grows its popular hand-tufted Tivoli collection of wool rugs with a new colorway in its Dream Border lineup.

New looks and constructions abound at the Trans-Ocean showroom. Among the highlights by designer Liora Manne are Cloud, a rug design in the Capri collection that features a whimsical cloud pattern hand-hooked of weather-resistant fiber. In the Esencia indoor/outdoor collection, Robin’s Nest depicts a robin guarding a nest full of blue eggs and Secret Garden features cheerful blooming flowers. New in the Frontporch lineup is Monarch, a beautifully colored butterfly design in a hand-hooked construction and cutout shape. An addition to the Ravella collection, Forest Border is a hand-hooked area rug with a pinecone border in a cozy winter pattern. And the Tivoli collection has a new addition, Dream Border, which has a linear ombre pattern crafted of plush, 100 percent wool.

New from Unique Loom, the Hermitage collection is inspired by the refined opulence of regal country estates, bringing together classic motifs such as traditional stylized floral patterns and modern abstract designs. Made from 55 percent polypropylene and 45 percent polyester, the line is offered in cream, snow white, beige and chocolate brown.

Another of the company’s High Point introductions is the Jill Zarin English Manor collection. Designed by former star of the Real Housewives of New York, Jill Zarin, this range provides lavish looks reminiscent of those seen on TV. Hand-knotted in India with great detail, these textured low wool pile rugs are woven with 200 knots per inch.
