CARPET DESIGN AWARDS ANNOUNCES 2020 WINNERS AT DOMOTEX
Among the finalists for the Carpet Design Awards at Domotex -- and among those chosen in the new category Best Modern Design -- is Feathers Round, designed by Maarten De Ceulaer for cc-tapis.

HANOVER, Germany -- The finalists for the much-anticipated 15th edition of the Carpet Design Awards at Domotex in January have been selected and the award winners will be on display in the expo's Hall 3.
Organized by Cover and Hali magazines in partnership with Domotex, the awards celebrate creativity and craftsmanship, with a focus on original design. The awards honor the best in contemporary carpet design, with a focus on innovation, execution and sustainability.
From the hundreds of area rugs entered into the competition, a shortlist of five has been compiled for each category. Graham Head chairs the jury, which also includes artist and curator Nuala Goodman, designer Roos Soetekouw, interior designer and lifestyle blogger Martyn White and Stefan Amstad, rug buyer for furniture retailer Möbel Pfister AG.
Categories 1 Best Studio Artist Design and eight Best Modern Design Select (a new category for this year) are open to Domotex non-exhibitors and by invitation only. (The shortlists for these two categories contain only three entries.)
The nominees will arrive at Domotex and three finalists will be selected in each category. The 2020 winners, announced on Jan. 11 during a special awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m., will be showcased in new dedicated presentation area in Hall 3 throughout the duration of the fair.
