NULOOM LANDS NY DESIGNER THOMASPAUL LICENSE DEAL
NY Designer Thomas Paul Fernez, known for his bold contemporary look, will create a range of rug styles, including hand-knotted, hand-tufted, shag and flat-woven rugs under his thomaspaul brand.

NEW YORK -- New York textile and pillow designer Thomas Paul Fernez of thomaspaul and Nuloom Rugs inked an exclusive licensing agreement to launch a collection of rugs for both the thomaspaul designer brand and his more affordable brand, seedling by thomaspaul, Nuloom reports. The line will consist of hand-knotted, hand-tufted, shag and flat-woven rugs targeting major online retailers in North America and Europe. Both rug collections will feature Fernez' bold contemporary signature graphic designs and will coordinate with his popular pillow collection, as well as his other licensed programs including thomaspaul upholstery, outdoor fabrics, bedding, bath and lighting.
"Thomaspaul is an influential home products designer whose designs have redefined the decorative pillow category and we feel his style will bring that same impact to rugs," says Koorosh Yaraghi, president of Nuloom Rugs, which was founded in 2008.
The new collections, which Nuloom will unveil High Point Market in April 2016, will each include 10 designs in multiple sizes, in a range of styles from printed designs to highly textured hand-woven wool shags and hand-knotted natural fiber rugs. The joint venture between Nuloom and thomaspaul extends the designer's style throughout the home Each new collection will include ten innovative designs in multiple sizes.
Fernez founded the New York based thomaspaul brand in 2001, updating a broad range of historic designs for modern sensibilities. "I am excited that Nuloom has the capability to manufacture rugs in a great variety of fabrications and techniques and that they can manufacture in price points for both of my brands," Fernez says.
