HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- At the 2016 summer Atlanta and Las Vegas markets, Kalaty Rug Corp. will debut six new high-end handcrafted area rug collections, and grow its Josie Natori range as well, the company stated.
The soon-to-be-released Equinox, Luxe, Juno, Eclipse, Horizons and Lynx collections cover a broad range of styles from modern takes on traditional motifs to new borderless transitional rugs to dynamic abstract contemporary designs, all in fashion-forward color combinations.
Additionally, three new modern designs will be introduced into the popular Natori Dynasty collection from award-winning fashion icon Josie Natori.
"Each of these introductions represents Kalaty's ongoing commitment to staying abreast of trends in color, texture and design while adding new styles each season to its already vast product line of superior quality handcrafted rugs," stated Ariel Kalaty, Kalaty Rug Corp.
This abstract design in Kalaty's new Equinox collection is hand-knotted of wool and Silkette.
Equinox merges modern colors with random transitional "broken" motifs, with each rug hand knotted in a Tibetan knot weave using a combination of wool and Silkette. Some designs in this impressive rug collection feature the added dimension of hand carving.
Also hand knotted in a Tibetan weave using a unique mixture of wool and Silkette yarns, the Luxe collection gives both vintage and transitional looks a somewhat modern edge. The zero pile aspect of the weave lends sheen and a special texture to each heirloom quality rug.
Juno, a modern abstract study in dimensional texture and high-energy colors, is hand knotted in a Tibetan knot weave using 100 percent Silkette. Specific designs within the collection have been hand carved to impart special high-low textural effects.
The erased floral patterns of the Eclipse collection are crafted of premium wool and Silkette, with a high-low effect. The new Horizons collection also features traditional floral motifs with an erased effect and high-low texture, hand knotted of premium wool and Silkette. Finally, the company introduces the hand-knotted transitional Lynx series, made of premium wool and Silkette.
Old meets new in Kalaty's transitional Lynx collection, hand-knotted of wool and Silkette yarns.
"Because of the rise in demand for new contemporary and transitional designs at the high end, we continue to answer that demand," Kalaty added. "And with these six new collections, we are confident that dealers, designers as well as their customers will respond positively to these new designs and the range of textures, colors and patterns within these newest introductions.
