WHAT'S OLD IS NEW: HALI ANTIQUE PAVILION DEBUTS AT THE RUG SHOW

selection of antique rugs from French Art Deco to Caucasian Kazak to Chinese Peking styles will be found at the first-ever HALI Antique Pavilion at the Rug Show New York.

NEW YORK -- The Rug Show, to be held Sept. 7-10 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, will introduce its first-ever HALI Antique Pavilion featuring some of the top names in vintage and antique carpets -- and at press time was expected to announce several additional exhibitors.

Expected to be the largest Rug Show to date, the non-profit annual event was created to better promote and expand the collective interests of the industry, and now rounds out its presentation with the HALI Antique Pavilion's exhibitors, among them Art Resources, Fazli Solak, Krikor Markarian, Looms of Persia, Nazmiyal Auctions and Rahmanan Rugs.

"We have wanted to include an antique section for a while and are very excited to see it come together in 2019," said show founder Ramin Mobayan. "The Rug Show is designed to promote the hand-made rug industry and including an antique selection seems like a logical step."

The Rug Show and the prestigious HALI Magazine, the pavilion is a dedicated space where buyers will find a broad range of superb rugs and textiles, from fine Persian and Chinese antiques, to vintage Scandinavian and Moroccan designs. Below is a survey of confirmed Antique Pavilion exhibitors illustrating the variety of carpets that will be displayed at the September 2019 show.
