KAS RUGS' NEW WAREHOUSE INCREASES
TOTAL CAPACITY TO 231,000 SQUARE FEET
SOMERSET, NJ - KAS Rugs announces
that construction of its second Calhoun, GA warehouse is complete and the
120,000-square-foot facility is now operational. This latest capital expansion
brings the company's total distribution and warehousing capacity in Georgia to
231,000 feet, poising KAS as an industry leader in quality control and timely
delivery of products as well as fashion and design.
"We are looking forward to the
increase in our operational capacity this expansion allows. It represents an
investment in our operations as well as our customers," said Rao Yarlagadda,
president, KAS. "The additional warehouse will further our ability to service
our customers in a timely manner as they have become accustomed to over the
years. "KAS is proud to say that 95% of our orders are filled within 24 hours
and the additional warehouse now allows us to turn around orders even faster
than before," he added.
The addition of the new warehouse,
which is joined to the original distribution center by a passageway to optimize
efficiency, follows on the heels of an exciting and successful 2014, Yarlagadda
said. The company completed a corporate rebranding program for an updated,
cleaner graphic identity. KAS also expanded and remodeled its showrooms in
Atlanta, Las Vegas and High Point. "Each showroom not only feels more inviting
with an open floor concept, but each space now has a new designated section for
our new home décor offerings and designer partnerships."
KAS has worked closely with Bob
Mackie Home and Donny Osmond Home to create innovative and quality products
under licensing programs. Bob Mackie Home is set for another product launch at
the upcoming High Point Market in October. Donny Osmond Home now includes three
successful rug collections and coordinating decorative pillows. The company is
gearing up for New York Home Fashions Market as well, where its showroom is
located at 295 Avenue.
