PORT WASHINGTON, NY --Vanessa Schipilliti has been promoted to the new post of  territory manager for Canada for Safavieh.

She previously handled sales in the eastern part of Canada. She will continue to be based at the company's Port Washington, NY, office.

In making the announcement, Arash Yaraghi, a principal of Safavieh,  said the company has targeted Canada as a growth market which will be supported with full marketing and sales attention coordinated by Schipilliti.

"We have systems in place to expedite customs clearance, and to make Safavieh extremely responsive to Canadian dealers' scheduling needs,€VbCrLf Yaraghi said.

Prior to joining Safavieh, Schipilliti was a sales representative with United States Environmental, a consulting company. Earlier, she was with with Nourison for three and a half years specializing in sales to buying group.
