SOMERSET, NJ - KAS Rugs will host a "Fashionably Vintage" Party on Monday, October 19th from 4 to 6 p.m. with renowned designer Bob Mackie. The party celebrates the launch of Bob Mackie Home Vintage, a new rug collection, and will be held at the KAS Showroom in IHFC, Space G-270 in the Green Wing.

A nod to the designer's storied history in the world of high fashion, the Bob Mackie Home Vintage rug collection puts a trendy twist on vintage traditional designs. Machine woven in Belgium, the rugs are styled as modern classics that every generation can appreciate, explained Santhi Yarlagadda, VP at KAS Rugs.

"With Bob's exquisite hand at design and our experience in textiles, it's been a true pleasure to work closely together to create stunning rugs encompassing a variety of design trends," Yarlagadda said. "With a successful soft launch at summer markets, we are excited to showcase the Vintage collection at High Point."  All designs in the new collection are woven of polypropylene frisee yarn with a plush soft pile.

"Bob Mackie is looking forward to the "Fashionably Vintage" party and is excited to discuss his KAS collections with retailers and press," Yarlagadda continued.  KAS will have a vintage photo booth with props set up for all to enjoy. There will also be a door raffle for a chance to win authentic Bob Mackie rugs. All are invited to stop by the KAS showroom for an elegant affair with food, drinks and merriment.

In 2014, KAS launched the first-ever Bob Mackie Home rug collection. Rugs in the successful initial collection, hand-tufted of wool and viscose in lush transitional designs, led to an expansion of the collection at KAS. "Bob's artistic designs and appreciation of color are so unique that they bring an exciting look to our overall KAS assortment, and to the industry as a whole. For 14 years, the Bob Mackie Home brand has been a visionary force in the home furnishings industry," Yarlagadda said.
