ADAIRSVILLE, GA -- Surya is diversifying its product line with the introduction of machine made rugs, according to Satya Tiwari, president.
The company is best known as a manufacturer and importer of hand made rugs, so the new machine made collection represents a major shift.
"Our customer base is becoming more diverse, and many of them have requested machine made products.We are adding the new line in order to present a full range of products," said Tiwari.
"We had a sneak preview of machine made products at the past market, and in January we will be that business with a full-scale programmed line," he added.
The Ambrosia machine made line is a high density, 840,000-point olefin construction, made in Egypt. Suggested retail will be $200 in 5x8.
Initially, these products will be in traditional designs. We will expand into transitional and contemporary styling in the future," said Tiwari.
Ambrosia's initial designs feature classical Oriental motifs.
