PHILADELPHIA -- Anthropologie debuts a new home furnishings collaboration, which spans accessories, area rugs and even wallpaper and lighting, created by Canadian designer Christiane Lemieux.

Anthro x Lemieux et Cie's Artisanal Modernism collection is being featured at Anthropologie's Soho New York City location in a series of vignettes spotlighting her furniture and furnishings in living room and dining room settings. The range features a modern minimalism defined by artisanal pieces inspired by Lemieux’s world travels, and influenced by the Spice Road, Parisian flea markets, and traditional Japanese crafts.

Created by designer Christiane Lemieux for Momeni, the Lemieux et Cie label Tukar area rug is hand-woven of wool.

"This collection is essentially of the classic lyrical shapes I love from pivotal moments in design history," Lemieux stated. Some pieces are heavily influenced by European modern sculpture designs, while others are a nod to French 1920s design and Danish Mid-century looks. And her area rugs drew inspiration from traditional African mud-cloth patterns, Japanese Shibori, Scandinavian flat-weaves and traditional Moroccan rug motifs.Ten designs from the Lemieux et Cie by Momeni program are currently part of the Anthropologie collection.
