HIGH POINT PEOPLE AND PARTIES, PART 1

HIGH POINT, N.C -- Parties and showroom events reflected an upbeat vibe at the spring 2017 High Point Market.

Contests and promotions added a festive touch, ranging from Amer's Big Screen TV giveaway (won by Rakesh Agarwal of Rug & Home with stores in North and South Carolina), to Nourison's fun photo contest with one creative winner announced each day during market.

At Capel's 100th anniversary party, customers who placed a qualifying order had the opportunity to pop a balloon for a cash reward of $20 to $100. And Surya raffled off three prizes, including a $500 spa gift certificate.

Highlighting the market's roster of design industry celebs with rug licenses were Donny Osmond and Andy Hilfiger, and a presentation by Candice Olson to overflowing crowds at Surya.  Also drawing crowds were Robert and Cortney Novogratz at Momeni's showroom, and Debs Camplin, senior vice president of design for the home furnishings collections of kate spade new york, who lead a tour of new rugs and accessories at Jaipur Living.
