Gold Winner Carpet/ Area Rugs: West Elm + Shaw Contract

The Diamonds rug and broadloom from the Best of NeoCon 22 Gold award winning West Elm + Shaw Contract collaboration.

The West Elm and Shaw Contract collaboration combines the aesthetics of residential flooring with the performance attributes of commercial carpet. Coordinating rugs and carpet tiles offer a range of textures that simulate the look and feel of handwoven rugs, while maintaining the performance necessary for commercial applications.

This allows commercial spaces to create a residential feel through color, texture and feel. A warm color palette with hints of mid-century modern patterns, which West Elm is known for, provides options to create unique spaces that feel warm.

The Kista design by West Elm + Shaw Contract is available in rugs and broadloom.

These unique styles and performance requirements have been realized through a combination of different yarns, using machines in innovative ways. Rugs are available in 4 standard sizes of 6’x9’, 8’x10’, 11’ circular and 12’x15’, with either surged or hidden edges. Custom sizes are also available to truly create a unique space. There are 7 different rug styles. All rug styles will also be sold as broadloom.

Delos Sneak-Peeks Sustainable Azure Collection

Delos showcased its new Azure collection rugs made from Econyl nylon at Aquafil’s showroom (Econyl is made by Aquafil).

Delos tipped its hat to well-serving the planet at Neocon 2022 with a sneak peek at the launch of the Azure Collection of rugs manufactured from ECONYL nylon, made from recycled waste, including fishing nets, carpets and nylon waste. This unique series of art for the floor was inspired by the tranquility of water and demonstrates Delos’ ability to push the boundaries of robotic tufting.

The live launch of Azure rugs this fall will benefit Healthy Seas, an organization that works to clear waste nets from the ocean with the help of volunteer divers. These nets are then recycled into ECONYL fiber and used in various products, including Delos’ Azure collection.
