TAMARAC, Fla. – The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) has named CITY Furniture (CITY), based in Tamarac and headed by Andrew Koenig, as its 2022 Retailer of the Year in the category of retail stores with more than 50 employees.
“The Retailer of the Year Awards were unbelievably competitive this year as we had more nominees than in recent memory. The numbers reflect just how much incredible work is being done by retailers even in the face of COVID-related challenges. Those receiving a 2022 award stood out in this deep pool of talent for their exemplary level of agility, innovation, and excellence. Their stories are inspiring,” says Mark Schumacher, HFA CEO.

An in-store celebration happened on April 11, 2022, where Mark Schumacher, CEO of the Home Furnishings Association, presented the prestigious award in person allowing the entire CITY team, community, and local media to join in the celebration.

The home furnishings industry nominated HFA members based on their exceptional examples of philanthropy, technology, customer experience, mentoring, sustainability, and store culture. A panel of judges comprised of the HFA’s Board of Directors, HFA members, Past ROTY Winners, manufacturers, service providers/suppliers, and industry media voted on the nominations.
