Couristan Appoints Tommy Armistead as VP of Area Rug Sales – Mass Merchants

Couristan has announced, as part of its long-term growth plan for its area rug division, the appointment of Tommy Armistead to the position of vice president of area rug sales for the company’s mass merchant accounts.

FORT LEE, N.J. – Couristan, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fine, quality area rugs, residential broadloom and custom contract·hospitality carpeting, announced this week, as part of its long-term growth plan for its area rug division the appointment of Tommy Armistead to the position of vice president of area rug sales for the company’s mass merchant accounts.

As an industry veteran with over 10 years of experience in the home furnishings and area rug industries, Armistead will lead and execute Couristan’s exploration and strategic development of new business opportunities within the furniture store and mass merchant segments.

Ron Couri, who serves as President and CEO of Couristan, noted, “Tommy’s creative leadership driven by technology and unique experiences in sales and operations within the home furnishings and area rug industries will provide tremendous value to his role within our company. Most recently, Tommy was employed by JLA Home where he served the company as its Vice President of Sales overseeing the company’s Area Rug Division. Prior he served as National Account Manager at Balta Home. Tommy will be reporting to Ron Couri.
