LAS VEGAS -- Couristan heads to Las Vegas Market to feature its latest handcrafted area rugs, which include a new indoor-outdoor collection, at its Building B showroom B360.
"Because Couristan has both broadloom and area rugs, the overlap between Surfaces and World Market will hopefully bring customers to both sides of the business that haven’t been before," said Marlys Giordano, VP of product development. "We are expecting the markets to be exciting as they usher in the new year and set the tone for the remainder of the year,"
Among the highlights that will take center stage at the Couristan showroom are its latest handmade area rug collections. And the company will also continue to feature its outdoor assortment, which has remained a top category for Couristan

HAMADAN COLLECTION
Hand-knotted in an Oushak weave, Hamadan from Couristan reworks classic Kazak patterns in subtle colorations.

The Hamadan collection features hand-knotted Kazak designs given a contemporary twist with its tonal gray, blue and earthy tones. Crafted in an Oushak weave that allows for a loose knot and a more laidback feel, these pieces are made of 100 percent wool with short-fringed edges in India.
DESI COLLECTION

The Desi collection takes Ikat, Heriz other traditional motifs and blows up the scale of elements. Designs are rendered in rich hues blended with tonal colorations. The line is hand-knotted of 100 percent wool with short-fringed edges in India.
JOSHUA COLLECTION
The handmade Joshua collection, inspired by the Joshua Tree National Park region, is an indoor-outdoor lineup.

Couristan's new Joshua collection is inspired by the mid-century modern bohemian aesthetic of the Joshua Tree National Park and its environs. This collection of geometrics is handwoven in India of soft high content recycled material PET and can be placed "anywhere/everywhere." Made of space-dyed, carded yarns, Joshua rugs have a nubby finish gives each piece a worn feel.
