HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) announces Gabby Barrett and Sister Sledge as this season’s Center Stage opening weekend headliners, April 26 and 27.

Gabby Barrett will take the stage on Sunday, April 27, at 7pm. Performing since age 11, she skyrocketed to country music fame with her 2020 debut single, “I Hope.” The song ruled Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for a record-breaking 27 weeks, making Barrett the youngest artist with a number-one country radio hit in over twenty years. Since then, she has topped 2.6 billion global streams and became the first artist in country music history with the most first-week debut album streams for “Goldmine.” The record dominated Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart for three weeks and reached platinum for the song “The Good Ones.”

Recipient of the 2022 Rising Star Award at Billboard Women in Music, Barrett’s additional accolades include CMT’s 2021 Top Artists of the Year, the iHeartRadio Titanium Award and Breakthrough Video of the Year at 2020’s CMT Music Awards. Recently, Barrett released an autobiographical album, the highly-anticipated “Chapter and Verse,” which she co-produced alongside Grammy-nominated producer-songwriter Ross Copperman.

Sister Sledge, scheduled for Saturday’s performance, also at 7pm, has been a household name since the 1979 hit, “We Are Family.” Over the decades, the Grammy-nominated group has boasted a string of gold and platinum hits. With performances on major global stages such as Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall and the White House, the Sledge family continues its musical legacy with Musical Director Dominic Amato, founding member Debbie Sledge and more Sledge family delivering the band’s iconic message, “Nothing is greater than love.”

Accompanying the musical entertainment is the first-ever Market-at-Market shopping experience organized by HPMA. Local craftspeople and vendors will showcase and sell their non-decor related products in a vibrant gift shop setting in the Center Stage arena. Food trucks will also be on-site.

“In addition to the evening musical acts planned for Spring, we’re excited to debut Market-at-Market, transforming Center Stage into a lively place for gathering between showroom visits,” says Tammy Covington, president and CEO of HPMA. “It’s like having an exclusive souvenir shop for our guests, to remind them of their time at High Point.”

Market-at-Market will be open from Saturday through Monday, 10am to 2pm. The Center Stage arena is only open to registered High Point Market attendees.

A valid Spring 2025 Market pass is required for entry to the concerts. Doors open at 6:30pm before the concert begins at 7pm. Early entry for buyers starts at 6:15pm. Entry for ages under 15 is not permitted. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided.

Center Stage is an outdoor event venue situated between Showplace and the Transportation Terminal. To learn more about all Center Stage events hosted by HPMA, visit the High Point Market website.
