HIGH POINT, N.C. — The High Point Market Authority announces a lineup of virtual programming for Fall Market, aligning with its #HPMKTsafe Initiative to eliminate large, in-person group gatherings. The virtual Keynote Series will offer three sessions during the Fall Market dates, Oct. 13-21. The virtual Style Spotters LIVE! event will take place after market in November to recap the products spotted by the team in October.

The Fall 2020 Keynote Series will feature three industry-relevant, forward-thinking topics. Each session will begin at 3:00 p.m. and offer 1 IDCEC-approved continuing education units (CEUs). An attendee must attend the live webinar and remain for the full hour in order to receive the CEU.

Diane Falvey, editor in chief of Furniture, Lighting & Décor, the Market Authority’s partner for this session, will moderate a panel focusing on the intersection of wellness and home design for the first keynote session. Scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, panelists include Clodagh, Charles Pavarini III, Michael Peterson, and Lori Miller. This session is sponsored by Visual Comfort.

Partnering with Business of Home (BOH), the second keynote event on Friday, Oct. 16, will feature two mini-sessions focusing on the future of virtual design services. BOH editor in chief Kaitlin Petersen will interview interior designer Nicole White about the future of online design services. Afterwards, BOH podcast host Dennis Scully will sit down with Nidhi Kapur, founder of Maiden Home, to chat about the future of retail design services and platforms, and how home brands can offer in-house design services.

On Monday, Oct. 19, Edmund “Eddie” Ingle will present Sustainability in Textiles, focusing on the wastefulness and lack of recycling within the textile industry. CEO of Unifi / REPREVE, the sponsor for this session, Ingle will share insights into sustainability trends, the benefits of a circular economy, and encouraging examples from leading brands who are making a difference.

After market, the 2020 Style Spotters team will provide a virtual overview of their top product picks on Nov. 11 at 2:00 p.m. during Style Spotters LIVE!. Offering insights into the leading looks and on-trend products from Fall Market, the Style Spotters will unveil the standout looks and colors, textures, and patterns of the new season in advance of their Style Report debut.

“Access to industry thought leaders and information sharing on pertinent topics impacting our industry is a vital component of a well-rounded High Point Market experience. Even more so in a pandemic that has greatly impacted our economy, we are committed to providing the trade with educational opportunities for business growth and awareness,” commented Tom Conley, president and CEO of the High Point Market Authority. “With these events being offered virtually, even those who are unable to join us this fall in person can still benefit directly from these sessions.”

All sessions will take place via Zoom, and registration is required. Additional details about the Keynote Series can be found at www.highpointmarket.org/events/keynote-series. Information and registration details about Style Spotters LIVE! can be found at www.highpointmarket.org/events/ss-live.
