HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Harounian Rugs International (HRI) is hosting a meet and greet with renowned textile designer Wesley Mancini and introducing the license partners' first hand-knot rug collections at the upcoming High Point Market.
Mancini will be at HRI's main showroom, IHFC Hamilton 407, to present the collection to market shoppers at a special cocktail reception in his honor on Sunday, April 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Mancini, known internationally for his textile designs, is partnering with HRI to introduce the collaboration's first four hand-knotted collections of area rugs, which will be on display at High Point Market, April 6-10.
"Wesley is one of those creative guys who just pumps stuff out," said HRI's Greg Jordt. "He isn't taking existing fabric designs and putting those into his rugs. These are all unique designs but they all have a synergy between what's happening in terms of trending fabrics in terms of texture, design and colorations.
"That is why we are so excited about the program," Jordt continued. "HRI works hard to make sure our products are trending in terms of what's happening in fabrics and design."

STUDIO COLLECTION
The hand-knotted Studio collection by Wesley Mancini for HRI features a dense pile of New Zealand wool with shimmery viscose accents.
Hand-knotted in India, the Studio collection features a dense pile of New Zealand wool with viscose highlights. Studio includes four abstract designs, all created in trending colors such as stone, cream-blue, platinum and ocean. Programmed and stocked in full sizes (6x9, 8x10, 9x12 and 10x14), the assortment is also available in custom sizes by special order. Suggested retail is $1,599 in 6x9.
THEORY COLLECTION
Wesley Mancini and HRI introduce the rich high-low geometric designs of Theory.
Featuring large scale geometric designs, the Theory collection by Wesley Mancini is hand knotted in New Zealand wool with a touch of viscose and featuring a rich high/low texture. The collection includes five unique designs all colored in soft creams and whites. Made in India, Theory is programmed and stocked in full sizes: 6x9, 8x10, 9x12 and 10x14. Custom sizes by special order. Suggested retail is $1,499 in 6x9.
UPTOWN COLLECTION
Uptown from the new Wesley Mancini and HRI collaboration is hand knot and features a cut and loop pile.
Uptown is another hand-knotted Mancini collection. It features a high-low cut and loop pile of wool with a hint of viscose. It is offered in three colorways and is available in full sizes: 6x9, 8x10, 9x12 and 10x14. Custom sizes available by special order. Suggested retail is $ 1,599 in 6x9.
VINTAGE COLLECTION
The Vintage collection by Wesley Mancini for HRI is hand knotted in Pakistan with a very dense low pile.
The Vintage assortment from Wesley Mancini is hand knotted in Pakistan and includes two designs in four colorways. It features a very dense low pile of 100 percent hand-spun New Zealand wool. Available in full sizes 6x9, 8x10, 9x12, and 10x14 and custom sizes by special order, it has a suggested retail in 6x9 of $3,199.
