NEW YORK -- Harounian Rugs International (HRI) showcased several new area rug collections for big box, mass merchant and e-commerce buyers at its flagship Manhattan showroom for New York Home Fashions Market.

"For NY Home Fashions Market, we did have a number of in-person appointments with our big box stores," said Lee Harounian, co-owner. "We had good orders for a number of lines that we have not shown in person in two years and our brand-new introductions."

Among the top requested look for New York Home Fashions Market were traditional designs in vibrant colorations, including contemporary shades such as pink and blue, and more classic shades such as red and navy. Also, for fall shoppers, abstract looks remained a top-seller at HRI.

HRI debuted the machine-made Majestic collection for NY market-goers. This range is crafted of shimmering viscose and features an ultra-soft hand and intricate, colorful traditional motifs.

NY buyers were looking for traditional designs and HRI's new machine-made Majestic collection fits the bill.

Fall big box and mass merchants were also looking for contemporary abstract designs and updated traditional looks in palettes of blues and grays, sometimes with pops of rust. HRI's new Harmony collection, machine-made in Turkey of polypropylene, features 16 designs ranging from abstract to modern geometric to Oushak styles.
