New York -- In light of continued concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel restrictions both domestically and internationally, as well as the current government restrictions and limitations on large group gatherings, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) has pushed its annual event to November of 2021. Originally slated to take place May 15-18, 2021, the new fair dates are Sunday, Nov. 14 and Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at the Javits Convention Center in New York, NY. This date change reflects a proactive decision by ICFF to provide participating brands and companies the time to effectively plan their participation during these challenging times.

"Our community feels much more comfortable with and supportive of an in-person event positioned in the fall,” said Phil Robinson, ICFF show director. “Building on the success of the ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan virtual event launch in October 2020, we look forward to producing an expanded edition of CLOSEUP in May 2021 and to staging ICFF at the Javits Center in November.”

WantedDesign Manhattan will continue to co-locate with ICFF in the November dates, and feature its signature programs including American Design Honors, Launch Pad and Look Book. The partnership will also deliver an expanded ICFF Talks, with keynote speakers and trend conversations.

ICFF 2021 visitors will also benefit from a strategic co-location with Boutique Design New York (BDNY) and HX: The Hotel Experience (HX), also on Sunday, November 14 and Monday, November 15, creating an unprecedented market experience. “As the lines between commercial and residential design continue to blur, and since half of ICFF’s attendees are specifying projects in the commercial space, qualified attendees will have access to hundreds of additional companies specializing in hospitality, as well as to inspirational educational panel discussions with industry visionaries,” noted Robinson.

ICFF is North America’s leading global platform for contemporary furnishing design. With its emphasis on original and sustainable design, ICFF presents exhibitors of furniture, lighting, seating, carpet and flooring, wallcoverings, outdoor furniture, materials, kitchen and bath and accessories to an audience of architects, interior designers, retailers, distributors, developers, and press.
