Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather and Fabric Names First Creative Director

William Oberlin named to the newly created position of creative director of Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric and will oversee all aspects of design, marketing and sales.

RAMSEY, N.J. -- Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric announces the appointment of William Oberlin as creative director. This new role will oversee all aspects of design across the company inclusive of Furniture, Carpet, Fabric and Leather, marketing and sales.

Oberlin brings two decades of international interior design and product development experience to his new role, including corporate, hospitality, product and furniture design.

"As an interior and furniture designer, I’ve always been passionate about creating beautiful, functional objects that transform the way people experience space,” Oberlin said. “After years of running an award-winning interior design and branding firm, stepping into the role of Creative Director at Jamie Stern Design— a company that shapes the very fabric of interior design—feels like a natural and exciting next step. Oberlin received a Masters in Architecture (M.ARCH.) from Parsons School of Design in 2003. He subsequently worked as a designer (both as an architectural and interior designer), a client representative, a metal and wood fabricator, and most recently as the owner and founder of Dutch East Design, an interior design and branding firm.
