HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- As the 40th anniversary year of Kalaty Rug Corp.'s founding in the U.S. draws to a close, the company is capping off this milestone -- during which it introduced its biggest roll out of new area rugs in company history -- with the debut two full-color catalogs that showcase its impressive area rug product line.

The larger of  the two catalogs, a comprehensive 400+ page catalog, covers Kalaty's ever-growing line of high-end heirloom-quality rug collections ranging from traditional to transitional to modern styles, plus its high-fashion decorative accent pillow collections. A special section depicts and explains the workings of the designer-friendly Kalaty Custom Color program for area rugs.

The new 400-page Kalaty catalog contains the company's full product line of heirloom-quality rug collections as well as inspirational room settings in trending interior design styles.

This year Kalaty has also produced its first stand-alone presentation of the company's 15 popular K-TWO collections of fashion-forward rugs in weaves and constructions at more affordable price points, from hand-knotted to hand-tufted, hand-loomed and power-loomed. A growing category for Kalaty, the K-TWO series range in style from casual contemporary to transitional and traditional.

Both new catalogs will be ready to distribute to customers next month and will be available at the upcoming January markets in Atlanta and Las Vegas. During those shows, along with the remainder in 2020, shoppers can expect to see more fashion and weave innovations.

A spread from the new K-TWO collection explains the mission of the brand to provide all style genres in a variety of weaves at affordable price points.

"We have enjoyed a good year," said Ramin Kalaty, company president. "During 2019 we introduced more new product than ever before, which includes new collections as well as additions to existing ones.

"For the foreseeable future, look for us to grow within our current direction, which means continuing to expand our heirloom collections, as well as growing our more moderately priced K-TWO series of collections," Kalaty continued.

Highlights from Kalaty's 40th Anniversary Year

-At the beginning of 2019, a new generation of Kalaty family members - Gabriel Kalaty, Warren Kalaty and David Kalaty - officially joined the company. Their arrival during this anniversary year serves to emphasize a bright future ahead for this family-owned and operated company.

Next generation members of the Kalaty family, David Kalaty, Warren Kalaty and Gabriel Kalaty, debuted at trade shows in 2019.

-The company's April 2019 return to High Point Market, which included a grand-opening party and designer seminar, served as one of several at-market anniversary celebrations held at shows over the course of the year.

IMC's Bob Maricich, far left, and Kevin Malkiewicz, far right, flank the Kalaty team: David Kalaty, Kamran Kalaty, Warren Kalaty, Ramin Kalaty (cutting ribbon) Joseph Kalaty, and showroom designer Ira Sprinzen of Ira Associates in Woodbridge, Connecticut.

"Not only did our return to High Point help us commemorate this important anniversary year but it also helped us send a strong message to existing and potential customers confirming our commitment to serving them at this all-important market," Ramin Kalaty explained. "And, at the fall High Point Market, Kalaty chose to present more new product than it has ever shown previously at High Point to further showcase the depth and breadth of our product line."

-While taking on the task of producing two new catalogs during this anniversary year, Kalaty also began a major website remodeling project, which includes a number of new user-friendly tools and tech features.

Kalaty updated its website in 2019 and added a new feature offering viewers the opportunity to see its rugs in a choice of 20+ room scenes in a range of decorating styles.

"Not only is our newly updated Kalaty website faster, but visitors will now find it easier to navigate with such new tools as the ability to click on any rug and be able to see it in a variety of room settings," said Ariel Kalaty, a company spokesman.

"And, in addition to updating our website, we have made major updates to our Kalaty App, one of our customers' most popular and most often-utilized marketing and business tools. Available for both Apple and Android devices, our dealers are able to access and check orders, make payments, track and check shipments, communicate with us via the app, in addition to the ability to navigate through our vast rug collections."
