KALATY INTRODUCES FOUR RUG COLLECTIONS AND NEW BESPOKE PILLOW LINE AT JULY 2017 MARKETS

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- At the 2017 summer markets in Atlanta and Las Vegas, Kalaty Rug Corporation will introduce four new high-end hand-knotted area rug collections and is adding new designs to existing collections.
Kalaty will also launch a new collection of bespoke hand-knotted decorative pillows based on motifs from some of the company's most popular high-end hand-knotted rugs. The new bespoke pillow collection is the second series of accent pillows the company has produced, the first being flatweave Soumak pillows first introduced in 2015.

In recent years, not only has Kalaty adopted a more modern approach to product design but also the company has implemented a new corporate brand image evident in its newly remodeled website and in the clean graphics direction of its new 440-page comprehensive Kalaty catalog, which was mailed to dealers in the late winter 2017. "The rise in demand at the high-end for fresh, more updated contemporary and transitional rug styles has helped drive our new brand image as well as the number of modern and transitional rugs we have introduced over the past couple of years," says company spokesman Kamran Kalaty. "And, we don't anticipate a slowing in that direction."
Kalaty's dynamic 2017 summer introductions include heirloom-quality rugs in a variety of constructions textures and patterns ranging from modern takes on traditional motifs to borderless transitional styles to energetic abstract contemporary designs featuring hand-carving and/or unique textural effects. "We have received a great deal of positive feedback for the direction we're taking with our products, and we feel this summer will be a positive one for us. It's always important to interact with the dealers and designers who attend these markets, because their responses to our products help guide us with regard to color trends and future product direction," Kalaty adds.
NEW AREA RUG COLLECTIONS - SUMMER 2017:
Grenada Collection
Kalaty will launch the Granada collection in hand-spun wool and Silkette.
The distinctive hand-knotted Granada collection features classic designs with a unique textural perspective. Premium hand-spun wool is used as the background of each rug, while the "broken" traditional designs are made of Silkette to highlight the high-fashion high-low effects.
Taos Collection
Modern "erased" designs that display subtle hints of tribal and Southwestern influences are hand knotted in an especially soft weave using 100 percent premium hand-spun wool. Each of these casual yet elegant rugs receives a special finishing technique that imparts a lustrous sheen.
Torano Collection
Kalaty introduces the Torano collection at summer markets.
With their high-low pile and chic dimensional effects, Kalaty's new Tibetan-weave rugs exude elegance on many levels. Hand knotted using premium handspun wool combined with luxurious natural silk yarns, the collection's soft fashion colors and subtly erased patterns speak to traditionalists and modernists alike.
Versa Collection

Energetic textures and patterns are integral characteristics of this versatile collection. Each of these modern borderless patterns is hand knotted using a combination of premium hand-spun wool and Silkette in a pile-and-loop weave that gives each design its distinctive textural look and feel.
BESPOKE HAND-KNOTTED PILLOWS
The Inspira rug collection by Kalaty will now have coordinating pillows hand-knotted of Silkette pile.
Summer market shoppers in Atlanta and Las Vegas will be first to see Kalaty's fashion-forward bespoke accent pillows replicating many of the popular colors, motifs and patterns found in the company's finest hand-knotted traditional, transitional, tribal and modern rug collections. Each of these handcrafted designs is skillfully made using the same fine quality materials and intricate hand-knotting processes as the rugs that inspired them.
NEW ADDITIONS TO EXISTING RUG COLLECTIONS
One of three new designs added to Kalaty's Milano collection set to debut at summer 2017 markets.
-10 additions to the Oushak collection
Influenced by antique Oushak designs, the line is hand knotted of wool in a Turkish-style weave.
-Six additions to the Gramercy collection
Featuring classic traditional and transitional designs, Gramercy is crafted in a Lori-loom weave of wool and Silkette.
-Four additions to the Barcelo collection
Hand knotted of wool in a Turkish-style weave, Kalaty's Barcelo collection includes Moroccan, damask, and Asian design influences.
-Three additions to the Milano collection
Introductions to Kalaty's hand knotted wool and Silkette Milano collection are traditional with a modern vibe, some with broken designs.
Kalaty will introduce 10 additions to its Oushak collection in July, including the hand-knotted wool design above.
