ATLANTA -- Kalaty was honored with an America's Magnificent Carpets Award for hand-knotted rugs at the Atlanta International Area Rug Market at a gala ceremony on Jan. 10 at the Museum of Introductions.

The winning design in the Hand-Knotted/Flatweave category for rugs retailing between $50.01 and $100 per square foot is Kalaty's Juno collection rug JN-079.

"Our product line has evolved over the past several years to include a range of contemporary designs such as those in our Juno collection. So, to have won this prestigious award for one of our carved abstract modern rugs is an especially gratifying win for Kalaty Rug Corporation," said company president Ramin Kalaty.

"We have identified the use of fashion colors as one of our themes for 2019, and I can think of no better example of this color direction than the way we have fused together high-energy shades of blue, purple, pink, red, gray and yellow into the design of our award-winning Juno collection rug JN-079," Kalaty continued.

Kalaty's winning Juno rug proudly carries the winners blue ribbon at the Museum of Introductions Gallery in Atlanta.

Intricately hand knotted in a Tibetan knot weave using 100 percent Silkette, the award-winning Juno rug is a modern abstract study with bold and vibrant explosions of color and hand carved dimensional texture and retails at $60 per square foot.
