HIGH POINT. N.C. -- Kaleen, a 50+ year family-run hand-crafted rug business, accelerates delivery times and adds 36 fresh styles to its high-end LUXE rug brand at the upcoming High Point Market, April 13-17, 2024.
“With these latest style additions, we’re doubling the size and breadth of LUXE,” COO Monty Rathi said. “Today, LUXE spans 65 designs, each available in multiple colorways, and all hand-crafted of 100 percent pure wool.”
Designers and retail partners have been demanding additional LUXE by Kaleen style options after the company first previewed its newest designs at the fall 2023 High Point Market and again, more recently, at The International Surface Event (TISE) this past January in Vegas, Rathi noted.
“We shared previews of the new LUXE collections on swatches and sample racks, and our customers all went crazy for them,” Rathi noted. “We gained many new placements and new business during the Surfaces show, and we expect that trend to continue at High Point Market. Middle- to high-income shoppers are buying now more than ever, and they want the distinct and artisanal products and reliable customization services only Kaleen can offer.”

“We’re excited to announce that we’ve slashed lead times for customized orders of our popular LUXE by Kaleen hand-crafted products to now offer express shipping from our operations in India,” Rathi said. “Our clients’ custom orders can be fabricated and delivered in just 30 days with our new express airfreight option. That means custom-designed rugs will go from fabrication at our India operations to customers’ floors faster than ever.”
In recent years, Kaleen has invested significantly in its design, manufacturing and operations to support ongoing sales growth for its LUXE by Kaleen collections – including enhancements to the program’s area rug assortment and upgrades to the company’s state-of-the-art customization services.
Launching at High Point Market are four new LUXE collections, Femina, Calisto, Nectar and Alma, across 36 new styles, which will be on display at Kaleen's Showplace 2345 showroom, where the company will be hosting "Custom and Cocktails” Happy Hour on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, April 13-15.
FEMINA COLLECTION
LUXE by Kaleen rolls out the new Femina collection, which features an organic-style diamond trellis motif.
Crisp and clean, soft and plush, the Femina collection goes back to basics to deliver the essentials of sophisticated style. Loosely linear patterns move across the expertly hand-knotted canvas to create a variety of looks, from a diamond trellis to an organic sketch. Available in ivory.
CALISTO COLLECTION
Inspired by the beauty and mystery of the moon’s glow, the Calisto collection is expertly hand-knotted for a unique texture that gains dimension via the combination of neutral palettes with shades of white for subtle contrast. Available in blue, charcoal, green, natural and blush.
NECTAR COLLECTION
LUXE's new hand-loomed Nectar collection features a trending abstracted linear motif. Shown in taupe colorway.
Graphic designs are artfully relayed like pen-and-ink sketches in the Nectar collection. Presented in three dark-and-white patterns, these hand-loomed pieces are modern interpretations of structured linear design. Available in: beige, navy, silver and taupe.
ALMA COLLECTION
Kaleen adds the textural solid-colored Alma collection to its high-end hand-crafted LUXE lineup. Shown in white.
The debuting Alma is a study in color and texture. Tonal hues gather to create depth and dimension, elevated by a hand-woven construction by artisan weavers. Available in: blue, charcoal, grey, ivory and white.
LUXE area rugs are stocked in three standard sizes. The offerings are also available for broadloom applications. Kaleen's India operations stock each LUXE by KALEEN design in carpet rolls to create custom sizes and shapes (within 50-foot long and 15-foot wide dimensions). Deliveries are within 90 days.
To ensure the integrity of the brand, Kaleen restricts its LUXE program to upstairs brick-and-mortar retailers, as well as interior designers and decorators and their clientele.
