Kaleen's expands its broadloom offering with the new machine-made Hook & Beam label.
DALTON, Ga. -- Kaleen Rugs & Broadloom is introducing Hook & Beam, a new division of high-quality machine-made broadloom carpeting. Unlike the company's existing Pure Life and Kaleen Broadloom lines, Hook & Beam is not handmade and can be produced at a much faster rate.
The new Hook & Beam line, which also offers a merchandising unit, features three different types of construction: Jaccard Loomed, Circular Knit, and Wilton Loomed. Kaleen has produced an informational video detailing the Hook & Beam range and its merchandising options. Samples of the new collections will be available soon.
"Hook and Beam was launched because we wanted to create something unique and new in the industry," company COO Monty Rathi told RugNews.com. "From texture to construction Hook and Beam offers designer style that we are known for in a high-end, machine-made product. We also wanted to expand our offering to attract new types of markets such as hospitality, designer to trade and expand our current custom rugs businesses.”

Hook & Beam has five collections in their Jacquard Loomed styles. Each of these styles is 100 percent imported wool and feature all-new color lines and combinations that have not been seen from Kaleen Broadloom in the past. The following collections make up the Jacquard Loomed styles: Lucky Star,

13 CIRCULAR KNIT LOOM COLLECTION
Hook & Beam has 13 collections in their Circular Knit styles. Each of these styles is made using high-end New Zeeland wool. New Zeeland wool is known for its long stands, which make for a very strong yarn that provides texture and depth when spun.Hook & Beam’s Circular Knit loom is best described as a large sock or hosiery machine, which is the first-ever in the industry to be used to weave broadloom carpeting.
