Karastan is relocating to a larger showroom for the upcoming Las Vegas Market.
SUGAR VALLEY, Ga. -- Karastan will move into a larger space at World Market Center in time for the upcoming Las Vegas Market -- just one of several tweaks announced for the brand's long-term showroom strategy.
"In 2018, we built a state-of-the-art showroom space
at the Mohawk Home office in Sugar Valley, Georgia, approximately an hour north
of AmericasMart in Atlanta. The new showroom exhibits the full Mohawk and
Karastan product lines and will allow us to offer personal, one-on-one meetings
with our customers and conduct product reviews year-round," explained
Alyssa Hawkins Cole, content and marketing manager, e-commerce department,
As a result, Karastan is
not exhibiting at the Atlanta International Area Rug Markets at AmericasMart in
2019.
Instead, Karastan/Mohawk Home will focus on the east coast specialty market at High Point and the west coast specialty market at Las Vegas Market, and continues its outreach to national accounts with a strong presence at the semi-annual New York Home Fashions Market at 295 Fifth Avenue.
"In 2019, we are excited to expand our showrooms in
both Las Vegas and High Point," Hawkins Cole continued. "This will
allow us to create more dynamic product introductions and provide a better
speed to market. The expanded showroom space will be complete in Las Vegas at
the end of January."
With the expansion into an adjoining space, the Las Vegas
showroom will be approximately 3,500 square feet of space.
While Karastan has plans for two new woven collections and extensions
to best-selling existing collections, product information was not available at
press time.
