New York-based luxury rug showroom Mastour relocated for winter market from Building A to Building C to expand its footprint. The new 2,800 square foot space allows Mastour to feature more full-size rugs and devote an entire ladder wall to showcasing its growing lineup of custom collections. "It's been very busy and the high-end business including the hospitality market, has been growing," Joseph Mastour told RugNews.com, noting that Atlanta Market continues to be "great" and at Las Vegas the company was also doing strong business. Mastour debuts a wide selection of fresh styles for high-end retailers, showrooms and designers shopping Vegas market and among the standouts is the new LUXE collection, which rolled out with 28 designs, hand-knotted of wool and silk. Mastour's popular Hide Chic collection of hair on hide rugs continues to grow and 90+designs were added for winter markets. Finally, it showcased a broad assortment of full-sized rugs and a standout was a luxurious Japanese-inspired floral pattern, hand-knotted in Nepal of extra fine bamboo silk, rendered in an unexpected blue palette.

Natco Home showcased its new domestically manufactured rugs at Vegas market introducing its Heirloom collection.

The big news at the Natco showroom was the introduction of its new custom size area rug program, which includes 40 designs and a very quick turnaround time -- approximately two weeks. "People are already picking up the program, our customers love it," Michael Litner, owner and president, told RugNews.com. The new program features a mix of bestsellers and new patterns domestically made and includes multiple constructions such as super soft loop pile, indoor-outdoor sisal, and power-loomed rugs. Fibers include polypropylene, polyester shrink and regular polyester.
Natco also debuted the new Heirloom collection made in its Sanford, Maine, facility. These rugs are produced on the company's newest high-speed loom and feature a 14-color creel. The designs use multi-level textures and three shrink polyester yarns to create patterns with added depth and texture. "Given the large number of colors in the Heirloom creel, our design team created a wide array of design ranging from tonal abstracts to classic traditionals -- and Las Vegas show customer feedback was overwhelmingly positive," said Jim Thompson, VP. Strong interest also continues within the ultra-soft faux fur category and Natco added a new deep pile "rabbit fur" lineup of solid color rugs, which was a favorite of shoppers. Washables also remain a growing segment and were in demand as well.

Nourison had good traffic and the 2025 winter market surpassed that of 2024, said Giovanni Marra, vice president marketing and creative, who noted that retailers were placing orders. The company also hosted attendees from Surfaces, held concurrently this year. A favorite among luxury rug shoppers is the newest addition to the Christopher Guy licensed program called Silk Symphony, which offers a subtle abstracted linear high-low design hand-knotted of 100 percent silk in solid natural colors.
Nourison also showcased the high-end machine-woven Luxurious, a collection featuring traditional motifs crafted mostly of viscose. With a subtle luster, these rugs are over-dyed for a saturated rich coloration.
On the value driven side, which continues to do well for Nourison, the transitional designs of the debuting Retreat collection were a favorite. The line offers classic Persian motifs in soft colorations and a blue and ivory medallion design was a hit. These rugs, made of 100 percent polyester, have a distressed finish with a subtle high-low motif and are easy-care. The value-priced Nordic collection receives a line extension for winter market. This lineup of Scandinavian-inspired patterns was introduced in the fall with 12 designs and added 12 additional styles and more colors for winter.

the winter edition of Vegas. Shown, from left, Hilde, Louise, and Mae
Las Vegas Market shoppers were the first to not only browse Orian's new Jenni Yolo licensed rug program, they were the first to meet the designer/influencer at market. Yolo, also known under the moniker ISPYDIY, launched the line on Amazon and it’s off to a "great start."
Another favorite at Vegas market is the Petra collection -- Orian's biggest-ever launch at High Point, which is performing well. Another receiving top billing is Petra's companion collection Nova, a group of contemporary designs. Petra introduces buyers to Orian's take on updated traditional styles and people are "responding really well to it", reports Jess Sheehan, VP product and marketing. "We aren’t known for those traditional looks and we wanted to offer something in that style to test the response." Both Petra and Nova are machine-woven of a polypropylene frieze with a sheen. Petra 04, an updated traditional panel design in warmed up gray and ivory palette, was a bestseller. Finally, Aries collection was Orian's biggest hit from High Point and continues its winning streak, especially a bold abstract design featuring deep blue paired with vibrant gold, rust and red tones.

ORIENTAL WEAVERS

OW's Andy Brumlow, COO. Shown, Soleri SOL01
Among the featured introductions that earned top billing at Oriental Weavers is its new Acacia collection, which is a high-end wool and nylon Axminster woven lineup of 14 patterns in rich neutral palettes with shades of brown, mocha and ivory updating classic Persian motifs. These rugs are woven using space-dyed wool in Egypt with an incorporated dyed cotton fringe. As a counter point, OW debuted Solstice, a hand-loomed series featuring organic abstract looks in muted and tonal colorations with a textured cut and loop construction of lustrous bamboo silk and wool.
Another market favorite is the new Avalon collection of eight updated classic Persian patterns. Avalon reworks these detailed motifs in an understated manner via a soft palette of warm neutrals with accents of watery blues, golden terracotta and mossy green. Machine-woven of super soft space-dyed polyester, Avalon was released alongside companion collection Soho, which offers eight designs in organic abstract and modern casual looks.
For buyers who didn't attend High Point, OW showcased the machine-woven Cavett, which has a lower price point than typical for OW and was a success. The series includes a broad array of styles from tribal to abstract. Lastly buyers were able to review the Maeve collection, "which has been a home run for us, and we expect it to become a bestseller," says Kristen Ritch, VP - digital strategy & marketing.

Safavieh's eye-catching one-of-a-kind Jewel of India, hand-knotted of pure silk is a hit with shoppers seeking bold high-end designs.
Safavieh rolled out a comprehensive assortment of new rugs for Las Vegas market shoppers totaling some 600 new rugs across weaves, price points and constructions. A showstopper is the latest additions to the company's Jewel of India collection, hand-knotted of real silk. The collection, at least for now, is one of a kind with availability for custom sized rugs. The company's popular Signature collection, which is Safavieh's most high-end machine-made collection with 2 million point weave, adds a new creel and plenty of fresh patterns.
In addition, the company introduced a completely new fabrication with the debut of the Heritage collection, which earned a big thumbs up. These printed rugs feature more traditional patterns including unexpected border designs on a hand-loomed viscose base. Another debuting collection featuring the same fabrication is Mirage, offers over-sized borderless Oushak motifs.

TRANS-OCEAN

Trans-Ocean rolls out the new Chalet collection, which offers a new construction for the company and gradient-style motifs.

Trans-Ocean showcased a range of new indoor, performance and indoor-outdoor rugs at the winter market. The company's first stop on the 2025 show circuit was in Atlanta, which was very busy with gift and home buyers snapping up outdoor rugs, mats and pillows, said designer Liora Manné. For Vegas the company debuted the striking Chalet area rug collection with the Geo design in two colorways, denim and bark. The mid-century modern-inspired design is tufted of wool but is a new structure for the company. Designs have a gradation of colors and the elements within the rug run both vertically and horizontally.
The recently introduced Savoy collection of wool rug offers different height loops and features a special dying technique on the lower loop to give colors a blended look. The popular overscale classic floral Petra design from Trans-Ocean's top selling Capri collection added a new green colorway earning a thumb up from buyers on the hunt for the shade. Finally, the new understated Gobi and Nubia collections are hand-woven flatweaves featuring a very tight weave allowing them to lay flat, a major plus with buyers. Trans-Ocean's coastal themed rugs remain a favorite with buyers continuing to snap up those styles, including Capri collection's new Wave design.
Water and coastal themed rugs, including Capri's new textured Wave design, remain a best-selling style at Trans-Ocean.
