LR RESOURCES ANNOUNCES BIG 2020 PLANS: NEW HIGH POINT SHOWROOM & EXPANDED DALTON FACILITY

LR Resources, with plans to relocate to a new High Point Market space and expanding its Dalton, Georgia, facility, expects sales in 2020 to grow, pushed in part by its successful Naturals collection.

DALTON, Ga. -- LR Resources has big plans for 2020 including a new High Point Market Showplace showroom and doubling the size of its Georgia facility.

"2019 was a good year for the company. Our expansion into more accessory items, including pillows, poufs and throws, has helped," said Mike Thompson, vice president sales direct division/GM. "We are expecting a strong 2020 through the summer, but during an election year fall is never predictable."

For 2020, LR Resources, which began introducing home accessories under its Ox Bay Trading label within the past two years, has been growing its decor offering, while simultaneously adding new designs to its top-selling Naturals collection and adding to its machine-made assortment with hits like Imagine.

LR Resources' new Imagine collection of machine-made rugs is expected to continue to gain traction in 2020.

"Our top-selling rug collection remains the Naturals, closely followed by Imagine, a cotton weft machine-made polyester/polypropylene blend with shrink yarn for a unique texture," Thompson explained. "We will continue to concentrate on mid-price points, $249 to $399 retail for 5x8s, be it tufted, machine-made, or hand-loomed naturals."

To keep up with growing demand for its products, LR Resources is expanding its capacity in the spring 2020. "We are doubling the size of our Dalton facility and this will enable us to service our customers better. The expansion is primarily to be more efficient with processing container orders. It will also allow for more efficiency with daily orders."

Also this April, the company will relocate its High Point Market showroom to the main hall on the third floor of Showplace. "We will have more space to segment the showroom into accessories and rugs, focusing on various customer segments better."

Buyers heading to Atlanta and Las Vegas this January can also expect to see new Naturals and Imagines collections designs.
