CALHOUN, Ga. -- Based in the heart of Georgia's broadloom carpet industry, Nance Industries will debut at the Prince George Ballroom next month with new floor covering options for shoppers at the New York Home Fashions Market, Sept. 24-28.
The certified woman-owned business will show a range of products which are sold at large national retailers, flooring dealers and buying groups, and e-commerce giants like Amazon and Wayfair, who are eyeing opportunities in the home improvement and flooring categories.
At a recent Floors & More dealer convention in Englewood, Colorado, Presley Nance told RugNews.com the company's rug business has grown 30 percent in 2018, due to the growth of hard surfaces. Nance also reported more activity at the lower end of the price spectrum this year.

Nance will offer several area rug programs at next month's NY Home Fashions Market, including OurSpace Bright shag rugs in 10 ultra-bright colors.
Known in the floor covering business as a "conversion company", Nance specializes in converting broadloom into custom rugs for major carpet mills, as well as producing its own branded area rugs. "We're located in North Georgia near all the major mills," explained Trenna L. Smith, national accounts specialist, "We process over 75,000 rugs a week, some for these mills and some are our own label.
"We sell remnant rugs, area rugs, carpet tile, as well as solid surface with the best prices you will find. Nance has the experience and capabilities that retailers are looking for. The reason for our success is no one can beat our prices," Smith said.
New DIY Carpet Tiles
The new DIY Residential Carpet Tile line from Nance features peel and stick tiles made with stain proof yarns and soft cushion padding.
"At market this year we will be featuring several new rug programs as well as a project I'm very proud of, our residential carpet tile program. We have our own carpet tile cutting machine -- it's amazing," she continued. Marketed as DIY Residential Carpet Tile, the peel and stick tiles are manufactured on proprietary machinery, and designed for the do it yourself customer. It is sold in private label programs as well as branded Nance.
Each residential carpet tile has a 1/4" Kanga Hyde padding that provides a soft cushion underfoot. Made with stain proof yarns, carpet tile will hold up even to the toughest of stains, and is fade or wear resistant.
Area Rug & Mat Programs

Indoor-outdoor Aluin mosaic runners and mats with classic trellis motif surrounded by a subtle border are rubber backed and machine washable.
Nance will be introducing new area rug programs in New York, and will show its running line area rug programs. Smith said that Pure Soft Shag area rugs feature the first premium backing system offered for residential area rugs -- a flexible backing that prevents the solution-dyed rugs from creasing or bunching.
The OurSpace Bright shag area rug collection is made from 100 percent PET fiber from post-consumer recycled bottles. The rugs are stain-resistant and offered in 10 fade-proof ultra-bright colors.
Stony Creek is the company's most popular and cost effective area rug collection. Made from solution dyed nylon yarn, the rugs are processed from full tufted rolls of carpet and are both stain and fade resistant.
Nance also offers a New Zealand Wool Area Rug program, rubber-padded mats and runners that are machine washable and made for indoor-outdoor use, and a coir doormat program.

Nance Industries offers customizable coir doormats for a variety of retail channels.
The company was founded in 1972 by Carol Nance, and is now the largest woman-owned business in the flooring industry, certified by the SBA and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. "We do all things flooring: carpet rolls, carpet tile, area rugs, vinyl plank, wall décor and contract services," Smith said, noting that engineered floors will be offered at the Prince George as well.

Versaplank peel and stick vinyl planks from Nance feature contract grade adhesive for do it yourself homeowners.
