GREAT NECK, NY -- A memorial service was held here Monday, Nov. 22 for Ebrahim Aziz, founder of Ebrahim Aziz & Sons and a co-founder of Aziz Brothers. He would have been 84 on Wednesday, Nov 24.

Mr. Aziz was born in Mashhad, Iran on Nov. 24, 1926, where he began a carpet business in the late 1950's. After emigrating to the United States, he co-founded Aziz Brothers with Amir, Jerry and M. Micheal Aziz. 

In 1986, he founded Ebrahim Aziz & Sons in New York City. He retired and closed the business in 2004.

Mr. Aziz, a long-time member of The Oriental Rug Importers Association, was one of the most respected people in the Oriental rug importing community. 

He is survived by his five sons Bijan, Bahman, Babak, Bahram and Behrouz Aziz and three grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister and two brothers, Jerry Aziz and Micheal Aziz.
