NEW YORK - Pasargad will
officially launch its furniture collection of upholstered seating
alongside a new contemporary rug collection at the upcoming NY Now show,
says company founder Beni Isfahany. A first-time NY Now participant,
Isfahany is unsure what to expect from the semi-annual event, but he
anticipates that the company will get brand exposure with designers and
retailers. NYNow will be held August 16 to 19, 2015 at the Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center.
The furniture collection,
which Pasargad has been selling via its website for two years, is
comprised of 10 upholstered pieces, including sofas, club chairs and a
bench. Pieces range in price from $600 to $2,500 wholesale. Furniture
has been selling well online, prompting the company to showcase it at NY
Now.
The company will also be
displaying five new additions to its Modern rug collection of
transitional designs launched this spring at ICFF in New York and at the
Atlanta International Rug Market in July. The Modern collection has 18
designs handmade in India of wool and silk with a dense, short pile ($50
per foot retail).

The Victoria Tufted Velvet Sofa from Pasargad
features box tufting and tuxedo lines.
