Rug Companies Cut the Ribbons for New Las Vegas Showrooms

Southwest Looms, Exquisite Rugs open new showrooms at World Market Center, and Loloi gets a toast with ribbon cutting from ANDMORE executives at the winter market.

Exquisite Rugs and Southwest Looms execs cut the ribbons on new showrooms

Equisite Rugs returns to World Market Center after about a ten-year hiatus and Southwest Looms moves to permanent space.

LAS VEGAS -- Winter Las Vegas Market saw high-end rug makers Southwest Looms and Exquisite Rugs open new showrooms at World Market Center, and Loloi got a celebratory ribbon cutting by ANDMORE execs feting its 20th anniversary and new rug collection called Heritage.

SOUTHWEST LOOMS

After 12 years on the B2 Temporary floor at LVMKT, Southwest Looms moved to a permanent showroom in the C Building, C460. The new showroom is one floor below its best-selling licensing partner Pendleton Woolen Mills, which opened its own showroom (C596k) at World Market Center at the January 2024 show.

“Winter 2023 was a very good show for us,” explained Cynthia McLaren, vice president, operations. Our brand partner, Pendleton Woolen Mills, opened a showroom at Las Vegas Market for the first time last year, and we were able to direct customers between showrooms.” This year the synergy was even better, with a larger showroom for Southwest Looms to showcase more product than at past markets.

"Our new showroom is larger and more visible than the previous one, which helped increase our brand recognition and attract new buyers,” she said. "The year 2024 is going to be a year of tremendous change and growth for Southwest Looms."

At market 
the company showcased its specialty boutique collections including: Southwest Looms (Pendleton Reserve, Pendleton Classic, Pendleton Tierra, Santa Fe, Dreamcatcher and Naturals), Arts & Crafts (British Arts & Crafts, Celtic Revival and American Prairie Style genres and Classic Revival (Persian, Turkish and Caucasian design made in Afghanistan).

EXQUISITE RUGS

Exquisite Rugs, which has a major presence at High Point Market, opened a permanent showroom at Las Vegas Market last month in Building B, B200. “We’re back at this market for the first time in 10 years,” said David Beck, Exquisite Rugs’ director of international trade. At the busy new showroom, Beck noted that the company’s license program with The Met is doing “phenomenal”, and that Exquisite had recently acquired rights to a new Frida Kahlo collaboration, with two full size rugs featuring the artist’s work attracting lots of attention.

Loloi celebrated its 20th anniversary at Las Vegas Market with a special showroom dedicated to its new machine-made Heritage collection, which is woven in Egypt to simulate hand-knotted rugs (read full story).


Loloi partners joined the festivities to celebrate the anniversary and review the special Heritage collection.
