NEW YORK -- Pantone's Color of the Year 2019, Living Coral makes its way from the catwalk to floor, and area rug vendors are injecting the color into the latest area rug designs.
What's more, the warm pinky color bridges a broad range of styles from classic looks with coral accents, to abstract designs with swaths of the peachy shade, to modern geometrics. From beachside to urban, boho to traditional, area rug makers are using Living Coral to warm up their designs.
"Living Coral is a multi-functional color that can cater to a variety of design styles," said Satya Tiwari, president of Surya. "We have seen coral tones emerging in our product development research and have brought similar hues to life. It bridges the gap between reds and oranges in a playful, lighthearted manner, making it much more commercially accessible across industries."
