NEW YORK --Safavieh Home Furnishings announces the grand opening of Safavieh' s newest retail showroom, a 30,000 square foot lifestyle store at 89 Seventh Avenue in the trendy Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.
"After 25 years in The Flatiron district Safavieh is moving to a bigger location to provide New York City with the best and most beautiful furniture, rugs, and accessories that everyone loves and expects from Safavieh," said Darioush Yaraghi, senior vice president/creative director of Safavieh Home Furnishings. "The store opened this month and Safavieh will continue to bring in new products each week until the grand opening on March 5," Yaraghi noted. The event will be held from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.
For the past forty-plus years, Safavieh has come a long way from an artisan family business to a high tech corporation with very sophisticated operations in terms of manufacturing and distribution. The company has grown from one showroom on Madison Avenue to 13 retail stores in the tri-state area with two million square feet of warehouse space and its own manufacturing facilities on three continents.
Safavieh's new Chelsea showroom features top luxury furniture names in addition to its Safavieh and Safavieh Couture branded area rugs, furniture and accessories.

Safavieh SoHo will offer a huge selection of Safavieh world renowned rugs and Safavieh Couture, their exclusive 1,000 plus piece fashion forward line which includes furniture, upholstery, lighting and accessories. Safavieh Chelsea's professional experienced design staff will provide complimentary interior design service.
Safavieh Chelsea will be open Monday- Friday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.to 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
