HIGH POINT, N.C. – As Safavieh expands its position as a cross-category leader in total home furnishings, the company has increased its visibility at High Point Market’s Historic Market Square building with the addition of 4,000 feet, formerly the space associated with Capel Rugs for the past 40 years.

The addition allowed Safavieh to break through its adjacent showroom behind Capel’s to create an expansive space with ample room to merchandise its furniture, upholstery, accent pieces and area rugs together in room vignettes designed to inspire retailers and designers.

Debuting at the Fall 2024 High Point Market, Safavieh’s showroom now comprises spaces 112, 117,120, and 121 on Floor 1. “We wanted the extra space to give us two main entrances facing the main passageway for easy access to market shoppers,” explained Arash Yaraghi, a Safavieh principal. “We also required the extra space to effectively showcase our growing lineup of interior furnishings and area rugs in integrated settings,” he said, noting that the acquisition allows for a dedicated showroom for lighting, a growing category for Safavieh.

Browsing the showroom, guests will find everything from residential upholstery to office furnishings and the Safavieh Dream mattress collection. The company focused on high end hand knotted rugs in the new showroom, with one of the more popular designs, Anatolia from its Bakhtiari collection of wool and silk rugs with a color palette leaning towards golds and teals in a semi-erased pattern. Safavieh’s Jewel of India wool and silk rug also hung proudly, a beautiful vintage-inspired pattern in fiery orange and bold blue.
