The S&H team was ready to greet High Point shoppers on Friday in its SAMS booth.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- S&H started High Point Market off with a bang, with very heavy traffic on Friday -- before the show officially opened.

The hand-knotted rug merchant's SAMS booth, which it doubled in size at the June High Point Market, showcased an area of trending looks, including plenty of still popular blue designs, up-date traditional styles and undyed natural wool rugs.

While blue and gray area rug designs continue to trend, plenty of fashion-forward colors were on display at the S&H booth.

Buyers were impressed with the Vintage collection, which owner Ori Wilbush describes as an on-going trend and the very popular undyed Natural wool collection continued as a best seller. "This collection is in the natural sheep colors -- charcoal gray, beige -- all 100 percent wool with cotton. It's a hit across the country from Connecticut to Texas to Florida," Wilbush said.

A vintage pink rug, which was a red and navy Persian Heriz in its original iteration grabbed shoppers into the booth as did the company's Best of Market design, a blue updated traditional look with contrasting border. "Blue is always in demand," Wilbush explained. "It's all-American and designers love it as much as their clients do. This rug has four to five shades of blue with a beautiful abrash."

Below is a tour of the S&H Rugs booth and some of its most popular rug styles on show at the High Point fall event.
