CARLSTADT, N.J. -- New Jersey-based hand-knot rug specialist S&H Rugs is introducing a series of designs that feature some of the top styles and constructions trending with designers.

"Our hand-knotted rugs and natural fibers rugs are more in demand and sales have been constantly on the rise since the nation shut down back in April and May," said Ori Wilbush, president. "While the situation seemed very grim and that only our colleagues in the machine-made rug category and lower-end price points selling online were doing fantastic, when the shops reopened last June, sales have taken off.

"After so much time spent mainly at home it became a much more important place than before for so many households deserving of new and fresh decor."

”Pink has been a very big winner with increasing demand and popularity," Wilbush said. "Fortunately, we are just one of the few who are brave enough to inventory and make colorful pieces including designs with just the pink shade."

Also among the top designs being sought by S&H Rugs' clients are looks that offer traditional designs reworked for contemporary tastes. The rug manufacturer offers a line of vintage classic Persian rugs that have been growing in popularity with interior designers as consumers turn to the assurance of traditional styles.

"We have a very nice line of vintage original pieces that we color reform to different levels of intensity and shave down thin, which transforms these traditional pieces to transitional and casual," Wilbush explained. "With our clients,  village geometric patterns are in demand as well."
